I've been running the Family Group report, with "Print to File" checked, and "Automatically Launch Editor" un-checked, so I'm seeing this in the resulting RTF file.
Just for the heck of it, I went into one of the templates that I'm using for one of my sources (Book, Multi-Volume), and replaced the ending punctuation on the 2nd component, title, to xx. I ran the report again, and sure enough, I'm getting " xx" after the title in the RTF file.
Then, I un-checked "Print to File" and ran the report again, and went into Preview; in there, there is no leading space.
So, the question is - is Word 2000 to blame or is UFT doing this when creating the RTF file?
If either of you is willing and you have Word 97 and are using the Book, Multi-Volume source template, please try it out...
