Individual Text -- Formatting?

Hi,

I'm having problems with UFT (ver 2.9) recognizing carriage returns and multiple spaces in the individual text bio area. For example, if I type in:

1880 Census:
John 30
Mary 25

The report printout will show:

1880 Census: John 30 Mary 25

The only way I can get it to recognize the carriage returns is if I double space it. But then the report looks like:

1880 Census:

John 30

Mary 25

In addition to this, if I save my project as a GEDCOM and then reopen the GEDCOM, all carriage returns are lost. All the text then looks like one big paragraph. It's very frustrating to continuously have to go back through my project and put in carriage returns. Is there any way that I can get it to keep the formatting as I typed it in?

Thanks.

:)shari
