Hi Blue,

while I still had the VB debug window open, I went to Start->Find Files, and the ~FGETEMP.RTF file was nowhere on my hard-drive, so I assumed the macro was bombing because it could not find the file? This happens whether I use v2.9 or v3.0. Also, I'm pretty certain I had successfully used Word 2000 in automatic launch mode back in December - but - I can't prove that...is there somewhere I can look on my system that would tell me when I first installed it? I tried looking at Office folders to check the creation dates, but everything I saw had dates from last March, when I installed Office 97.

This past weekend, at John Morans suggestion, I applied Office 2000 SR1 in hopes that it would fix whatever is wrong, but it didn't.

thanks, beth
