Tried SAFE MODE....
In safe mode both version 2.0 and 3.0 file exit works OK without crashing. Exit works, but doing anything in PREFERENCES causes problems still.

Select UTILITIES, PREFERENCES, window opens OK. If you try to change anything, such as Clock ON it comes up with an error "Program Error - Syntax Error" with choice of close or ingnore. If you select ignore it comes up with "Operator/operand type mismatch" error with another cancel or ignore choice. If you now select ignore the same error comes up. If you select cancel the UFT program becomes unstable with an alternating display of [LOGO]Ultimate Family Tree-project not open and a Ultimate Family Tree-project not open top line without the logo. Just sits there alternating.

If you CTL-ALT-DEL this and end task for Ultimate Family Tree not responding you are back to desk top.

Now if you try to start UFT it comes up with an error that UFT is already running. However, CTL-ALT-DEL does not show UFT running.

So, the EXIT crash is fixed in SAFE MODE, but the program still crashes.

Going back to normal, EXIT still crashes. In fact one time it crashed just trying to open UFT itself (new problem).

Help.

John J.
