Do you have a "Crashguard" type program?
Have you tried booting up in Safe mode (hit F8 key when Windows first starts) to eliminate acceleration and use 640x480?
Is it possible that your video is built into the mainboard, and that the driver I suggested that you download is not applicable? (Note to Blue - he has changed video drivers since this thread started.)
FYI, yes, that brand of video "card" is part of the mainboard on some computers according to some information I found on aceshardware.com.
