Theresa,

In the final message on the old UFT message board, I talked about this issue.

Here's the relevant paragraph:

============
At GenForum, messages are displayed in what WebBBS refers to as "By Threads, Reversed" which is the standard way to read message boards. In this way you see the most recent messages first and all of the messages from a single thread are listed together. In addition to the default view, you can also choose to see the "Latest Messages" which will show you the last 25 messages posted, "Today's Messages" which will show you messages posted in the current day (we use Pacific Time for this which is GMT -8:00), and messages posted within the "Last 7 Days."
============

To recap, when you go to any GenForum message board you are seeing every message ever posted to the message board in reverse chronological order. If you then choose one of the options (Today's Messages, Latest Messages, Last 7 Days) you are then choosing to see just a portion of the messages.

Sincerely,
Paul Burchfield
