Hi Blue,
1.Since my database is over 24,000,000 bytes I am backing up to my hard drive. The program is now on a zip drive since I had a lot of trouble with "missing from library" after I had used an outside gedcom. So, I wanted everything "clean" away from hard drive installations. It works fine now with the installation and data on ZIP drive until I try to back up.

2.All goes well with back up, "copying" as usual with an individual record on the screen until a "SAVE AS
!File Write Error 3" appears. AFter clicking ok, it looks as if copying would proceed, but it doesn't. A new message appears "Archive stopped and is not complete."
Nothing is stored in the file on the hard drive.
Thank you for your help.
