Linda, I do not remember ever seeing someone have problems with this type of characters in the text boxes.

Does this happen when you uncheck the print to file then use "Preview"?

If you have some idea where the problem might be. Look at the end of the text and see if there might be a small vertical block. This is called a end of file mark and in my case came over from my R3 files. I don't remember them stopping printing but did prevent importing of GEDCOM's in some programs.
