Thanks to John Moran for suggesting that the font size was the culprit in my printing problem. I changed the font size in my sample chart. I printed the first page, and the black rectangle disappeared. Elated, I cancelled the sample chart, selected my original chart and was totally devastated when the black rectangle reappeared. After thinking about it, I unclicked Header/Footer selections in Page Setup, and changed the font as well as the size. Finally I was able to print my original box chart without any further problems. I still don't understand why this problem happened. Do you have an answer? Also, is anything being done about the color legend not appearing on large charts? Please let me know. Thanks.
