Well, folks - here's my testimonial, and if UFT wants to use it, it's fine with me!
When I went to a Genealogical convention in September, I purchased two NEW programs - TMG and Legacy. I also sat down and helped a couple of busy UFT techies, by working with couple of women who wanted to try it out. Anyway, I have used UFT since May of 1998 and I liked most of what I had. I found it easy to use and the source templates were terrific! But -- it won't accept all of my photo files, giving me an error 43 message most of the time on a 6 gig hard-drive, making me work extra hard on merging files, and driving me nuts with the box chart formats.
It looked like Legacy would solve most of my problems - it handles merges with ease and is wonderful with the photos - BUT is extremely lacking in the source department!
So I also bought TMG, on relatives' recommendations, and started in --- well, I don't like their source entry and found entering everything very difficult and convoluted - of course, I've had to teach myself and am not too technically savvy at times.
So, back I am to UFT and very glad to be here. Now, If I could just get my error 43 message fixed again!!
