I am sure you will need to do more than just talk to your 'Online' team.Having been a UFT user since Roots 111 and recently purchased UFT 3.0 I am still convinced that (warts and all) it is superior to any other geni software currently on the market.Today however, I registered for online access for the first time and was happy with the results. That is until I attempted to log on for the second time and even following acceptance of my verification, was not able to obtain direct access through UFT.
To add further insult to injury I have since received a welcome letter from Family Tree Maker, which I do not use.Ironically it mentions problems with direct access toFTM Online which sound very similar to those which I incurred with UFT.The letter also carries on with some half baked stories about losing cookies. The whole deal sounds pretty crummy.
On the positive side however, a username and password have been allocated and a URL for an FTM web site given should I have any problems!!!!!!!Please, what good is a FTM Username, password and web site if I am using UFT.
It is way beyond time when your senior management took a long hard look at where these programs are going and give some genuine thought to the needs of your customers.A few less stuff ups and honest and accurate advice to your customers would greatly improve the integretry of your company and relationships with those customers. It may well improve sales also. The best source of creating new customers is through referrals from existing satisfied customers and these appear to be gradually diminishing.I, like many of my fellow UFT users are very reluctant to promote UFT (or FTM) under the presentcircumstances.
It will require some very stong committment from senior management to remove the rapidly increasing concern currently being expressed in the geni comunity in general and amongst UFT users in particular.
