From comments on this board, I'm more convinced UFT is the best genealogy program--may be a little harder to learn but most things worth while are more laborious. I do hope UFT stays around and prospers.

I was interested in reading that you use UFT for keeping your data and do your writing in a word processor. Do you enter text material in either the events or inddividual record (except for fill in the blanks) or do you put all your text in a word processor. Seems it would be easier writing in a word processor but how do you handle such things as the generation and individual numbering, footnotes, etc., that UFT does in the background for us? Do you generate your footnotes in the word processor?
