Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

"Still looking for a method to name (rename) my image files before they are imported into the UFT library."

Bob, what I do - and this is the only place I use record numbers - is name the images with a letter followed by the record number of the individual, place, source or event.
p27.jpg would be the portrait of individual 27 and so forth. I use F for group pictures, S for headstone photos, that sort of thing.
