It looks like you have worked with this problem enough to have done the obvious things. All I can suggest is to try variations on the FJ report to try to find what works and what doesn't work. So far it looks like for all you have tried, it doesn't work, so I have no idea what will work.
Try various reports, focus on her, focus on the child of her and her divorced husband (create an imaginary one if they didn't have a real one), focus on her divorced husband, etc. There are a bunch of options for a FJ report - try them all.
If you can get the FJ to produce the sentence you want, then try removing options, or getting farther from the individual in question, and see when the sentence disappears. With this added data, maybe you, or someone here, or Melissa or Blue can clue in on where the problem lies, either in what you are doing, or in the product itself.
If you try all the variations you can think of and you still cannot get the sentence to print, try building a new "divorced" event type from scratch (call it something else) and see if you can get that to work. Try a simple event structure at first, then add more roles and parameters until it looks like the current one.
Yes, I know it is a lot of work, but it looks like you have invested a lot into this problem already. Good luck, and let us know what you find out.
