Source Type for Free Notes
Posted by: Joan Rosen Date: January 03, 2000 at 10:30:32

Looking at the evidence I had entered for an event, I highlighted a free note I had entered some time ago (in Roots IV) clicked on "view source." I found that the "source type" was listed as "Naturalization record." A quick check of several other free notes as evidence for events for other people, not entered at the same time, indicated that apparently all my free notes are listed as "naturalization records."

Of what importance is this? Can/should it be changed? Anyone else have the same phenomenon?

Thanks for your opinions and help.
