to Paul Burchfield-the newest marketing
Dear Paul Burchfield,
I hope you had a restful holiday season.
I just got one of those marketing phone calls
wanting to sell me the upgraded FTM.
I asked to speak to the supervisor.
His name is Russell Robison.
He is in the Production Department, Applications, with Telitron Marketing Group in Erie, PA. This company has been contracted by FTM to promote their 'upgrade' for Family Tree Maker.
Somehow, these people are working from a calling list that includes Ultimate Family Tree owners. I have never purchased or used FTM. I have purchased two CD's.
As expected, the people doing the callingdon't seem to know about Ultimate Family Tree but do seem to be aware of Ultimate Family Tree Maker! (grin and groan)
They are polite but uninformed. They seem to think FTM and UFTree are compatible and equal and fully transferable to each other. Someone, probably in FTM, gave this company a list of UFTree users or perhaps a list of anyone who has ever purchased a Broderbund research CD.
Good luck in tracking this down and educating someone in the FTM office that they are wrong.
Thank you and good luck.
Maggie Kitts
