Question 1: If you have never used UFT and you have a nice new computer, why would you want to use an old version of a genealogy program that is no longer supported or updated?
(I would actually suggest using a nice, new genealogy program...checkout www.whollygenes.com)
Question 2: Which version of UFT do you have? I may be more able to help you if i know that. You should have nothing older than version 3.0. Although some are able to get version 2.8 to work well with WinXp, there is a new windows version coming up and it is doubtful UFT will work with it.
