I have used many of the tips provided there and gotten great results. There is a complete discussion of the dpi which can be used by most printers. Crux of the matter is that a 300 dpi printer does NOT need a 300 dpi scan because of the way the printer generates either the color pattern (remember it only has 3 colors) or the gray scale effect on a B/W printer.
