I don't think you should have any problems using the forward slash when transcribing dates. UFT help says do not use it in UFT Names except to delimit the surname. I have used it many times in text attached to individuals and events with no problems that I am aware of. Also, in Preferences it gives you the choice of using forward slashes to delineate dates.
