I have a friend who has a problem in UFT; he has somewhere between 20 and 30 (I forget the exact count) dbf and cdx files, so his data is still there (and I can see it, if I open one of those files up in notepad), but he doesn't have a .PRO file. I'm not sure how he lost it, but it's definitely gone (I checked hidden/system files, the tmp directory, and the recycle bin to see if I could find it, but to no avail). He has some old .SQZ backups that point to different datasets, but he would like to get the original .PRO file back so that he doesn't have to re-enter all the data since his last backup (which I understand is quite a bit).
So basically, my question is, is there a way to rebuild the .PRO file, or how can I force an older version of a .PRO file to point to the proper datasets? Or can anyone refer me to a site that may contain that information? I had never even seen UFT before this, but I am a database programmer and a bit of a techie, so I don't mind "nerdspeak"....
