"When a new release of any program is slipstreamed onto the market on a holiday eve in such a manner that power users such as yourself find it necessary to issue numerous warnings on more than one forum or list about the pitfalls of implementing the upgrade, then a little caution may be in order for users of other programs who trust their data to that same upgrade."
I don't understand the above statement. The vast majority of TMG 'power users' have updated to v6 and have gotten on with their research. A couple have said they are waiting for the next update, and, at least one, has said that he plans to do extensive and careful testing before finally moving his data (which is his nature <g>).
There are a couple of issues that have been found and workarounds for those also have been found and a variety of minor irritants. There are no known data integrity issues and, if any appeared, those would be responded to immediately by Wholly Genes.
All in all, things have been going along pretty much as expected for TMG6. The program was released when when the cake was ready to take out of the oven. This was long after it would have been possible to take advantage of any sales boost from the holiday season.
