Thanks for responses. Here's more info on installation problem: I attempted to install UFT v.3. The computer was slow to react to the install command (approx. 3 minutes). Finally it started process but stalled at stage where fonts are installed. (error message was that program was unreponsive) Several attempts were made to reinstall without success. Also, I received a warning that this program would not uninstall (which turned out to be correct).

I did subsequently find out that portions of the program did install, but not enough to be functional (ie many file commands were missing or shaded).

Therefore, I don't believe foxpro patch would be beneficial without a good/complete installation.

Also, the old computer with previous data base & program was damaged by lightening. It's unknown yet it I can obtain data from the hard drive (not returned yet by insurance co.)

Possibly there is damage to my UFT cd which prevented a good installation??

I do have backup of my records but disappointed at thought of abandoning my UTF program, unless no other recourse.
