The only way to get the data from UFT to FTM is by Gedcom from UFT "Save As". The "FTM" version of UFT's Gedcom Export may be slightly more useful than UFT's "Gedcom 5.5" format.
The main problem with this transfer is that FTM, in addition to being different, just doesn't have enough nooks and crannies to hold all the data fields from UFT.
Be careful to create a new Folder for the new Gedcom for FTM, or you will have FTM files splattered all over your mother's UFT Projects folder, and it will be difficult to tell the files apart. (You may have already done this and, and the results can be rather confusing. Don't delete any files of either program until you figure out what is going on.)
