Starting Sept. 30, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Does not happen

In Reply to: Family Treemaker 11.1 Data destroying Alert by John Moran of 11492

Family Tree Maker has never been able to open a UFT .pro or .sqz file. The two programs were created by separate companies and neither can do anything with the files of the other. The only way to transfer data between the two programs is via a gedcom (*.GED) file.
