Peggy, The ASCII setting _could_ be used to copy and paste to a e-mail message or a place where plain old DOS text would be used. The Printer Codes would be used to send a FJ or what ever to a file. That file when used would be sent to your printer or moved to another computer and it's printer.

I have used the Printer Codes in the past to print repeated FJ's. In older days it could take hours to generate a big report such as this and this was a way to speed up printing, and could be used again. Faster computers and printers have changed this idea. Along with the fact that you had to use DOS commands to send the file to the printer.

Just a short history lesson. Thats a problem with UFT in some places it is still a very old program, as programs go these days.
