Looking for the parents of my ggrandmother Frieda Barbara Uffmann b.1886 Cincinnati Ohio, and her siblings William Henry b. 1889, Henry William (Harry) b. 1891,Arthur b. 1893, half sister Daisy Herbstreet b.1895. On a list of first immigrants were the names of Uffmann twins Herman H. and William, entered country 1866, came from Halle-Bielefeld, Germany (Prussia, Wesfalen/Westfalia). Wondering if one of these men was a grandfather of Frieda.
Arthur dropped one "n" off the end of the name for business reasons. Birthdates may be off several yrs., there is a Wm. Henry b. July 10, 1884 Ohio, d. 24 Feb., 1963 Ca.- listed maiden name of mother as being Pheil. Frieda's father died abt the time she was 7, mother (possibly named Barbara) remarried ?Herbstreet.I have a photo of the children taken in Cincinnati, abt.1905. Thanks for reading.
