Udall Kansas.

My father told me that Udall Kansas was named after a Udall ancestor, a Biologist who moved from England to America. I have contacted the museum there, they initially said the town was named after Cornelius Udall, an English author, when I asked for information on Cornelius, I was told that it was probably named after Nicholas Udall author of Ralph Roister Doister. I am not convinced about this line of thought. Do any other Udall researcher have any information regarding the history of Udall Kansas?
