Harry B. Tyson was born, 18 Sep 1888, son of Wilmer Joseph and Harriett Elvine (Roper) Tyson.
Harry Beers Tyson spent most of his early life in Iowa, but for a brief period of his childhood he lived in Roseburg, OR, Alma, NE, and San Diego, CA. He graduated from Emmetsburg High School and took a mining engineering couse at the Iowa State College, in Ames, graduating in 1912.His first technical work was in California where for six months he was a chemist for the Southern California Beet Growers Assoc. at Chino.At Metcalf, AZ, he was assistant mining engineer for the Arizona Copper Company, remaining there for one year. For six months he was employed on his brother's ranch at Deming, NM.He was married at Deming and soon after went to North Dakota where he was a cashier of the State Bank of Kintyre, ND. He worked there several years before moving to Wolf Point, MT, in Apr 1917, where he organized the Citizens National Bank, which later consolidated with the First National Bank. He held several prominent positions.
On 15 Oct 1915, Harry B. married Mrs. Anna Dermont Lang, born Evart, MI, 19 Feb 1883, daughter of Charles and Nancy (Mary) Dermont.While Anna was teaching in Metcalf, AZ, she met Harry Tyson.By her first marriage, Mrs. Tyson had one child, Willies Anna.Tyson children: Harry Beers, Jr., Daniel Murray, Robert Dermont.
