Indeed there were Tyrrells in Galway. Up to about 1840s this is what is found in the Register of Deeds. I have no additional information. But would like to have. Date in brackets refers to date of the deed
• Richard of Gort (1779) had an eldest son Richard (1781). His eldest daughter was Martha (1773) and she married Edward Hoare of the 27th Regiment.
• Richard of Tanteiver (1783) might be the same as ‘now of Gort’ (1787)
• Edward of Gort (1789) was married to Maria (nee Rutledge), second daughter of Dorothy and Thomas Rutledge.
• Edward of Dublin, late of Gort (1805) appears to have had three children. Edward Croker Tyrrell and Elizabeth and a daughter Harriett May who married Daniel Lombard (1839)
• James Tyrrell of Ballinasloe was married to Maria (nee Brooke) (1831 & 1839).
Hope we can sort out the Galway Tyrrells
Raymond
