Hi Piers,

James Gellatt Tyrer was my great grandfather. His father, William Orme Tyrer, married Louisa Richardson in 1812 and they had SEVEN children. At the same time William was having an affair with Catherine McDonald which resulted in Harry, John and Jane.

Louisa died c 1845 and William married Catherine in 1846 though they had been living together since at least 1841.

Debra and I have a huge amount of info on the Tyrers and are in regular contact. We swap info all the time and I have quite a bit on Harry and Frances.

You can email me on chistineAThulleyDOTltdDOTuk and I'll be happy to give you more information.

Kind regards,

Christine Tyrer Hulley
