I know a couple Tyrees are listed among the applicants for the Cherokee Rolls. The Guion-Miller rolls list a Reuben Tyree claiming to have Cherokee Heritage. But his name does not appear on the final version referred to as the Dawes Rolls. They are also listed as "m" for their color on 1850/60 census reports. I have found a couple Tyrees listed in the final rolls under Choctaw by Blood, but I haven't found any connection just to them just yet.

In the end, many Tyree researchers find information that is suggestive, but not always definitive.

I believe George W. Tyree had a brother (maybe only a half) named Charles E. Tyree. I am his GGG-Grandson. I am still trying to verify that, but I believe it is true.
