Tyng/Nutting bi-racial connection

I have information concerning Esther Nutting and her son, Truman Tyng, born about 1781, sometimes called Timothy. Esther Nutting was the daughter of Ezekiel Nutting and Abigail ?; she was born about 1759. Timothy married Edith Nutting, daughter of Daniel Nutting and Molly Lawrence. They had four children:
William C. Tyng
Mary Tyng
Jane Ann Lawrence Tyng
Catherine Foster Tyng

The last two daughters married men with the surname "Patch"; I have more info if you'd like.

On her death certificate, Catherine Foster Tyng is listed as "white", while her brother, William C. Tyng, is listed as "black".

Truman Tyng's obituary in the Saturday Vox Populi, states that he was a servant of Judge Tyng, taking his name as was customary at that time.

I hope this will help any black researchers with the surname Tyng or Patch to find their elusive ancestors.
