Suzanne --There were many, many Tyneses in Virginia over the past three centuries, and many of them owned plantations. Can you give any more information as to who you are looking for?I know of one plantation named "Garner Place" in Isle of Wight County, where Robert Tynes Jr. (d. 1819) and his descendants lived.Could this be who you are after?Robert had a brother named Timothy, who also had a plantation, but I don't know where it was. They had lots of cousins too, many of whom owned land in Virginia and northern North Carolina.
