Was wondering if anyone knew where he is buried. This account is wrong. Cavie wasn't widowed. Her hubbie ran off and I guess she just told the census people that he died. Also, his name I believe was just J.O. I would like to find out where he is buried. Perhaps in the panhandle? Don't know. Name: John Oscar TYNES 1 2 3 Sex: M Birth: Sep 1873 in Louisiana 1 2 3 Death: 1913-1919 Note: On the 1910 census he is a tailor in Tulia, Swisher County, in the Texas panhandle. On the 1920 census, his wife is listed as a widow. He is called simply John O. Tynes on the censuses. I put Oscar as his middle name because his son's full name was John Oscar Tynes, but I have no better proof than this.
