Hello again Sue, I dont know what order you will read my reply since I am sending two of them, but this is the second one I sent today. I wanted to send the deed of John Crew's widow Annabelle and her new husband Richard Bracy, giving property to John Crew's children so that you can see the names of the children. He has one other daughter named Elizabeth Crew Walls that is not named in the deed.
from the book "Land Records of Sussex Co DE 1722-1731" Deed Book F, by Johnita P. Malone:
Liber F 270. Deed of release. 9 Feb 1727. From Richard Bracy and Annabella his wife to her children, Anne Stockley, Honor Tindal, and Frances Stevens, daughters of John Crew, of Sussex Co. for 5 shillings, 900 acres. Land situated on Delaware Bay and about 4 miles south of Rehoboth Bay and is called West Chester and is bounded by a creek that runs out of Rehoboth Bay. Land was granted by patent of Edmond Andross, Gov of NY, on 20 Aug 1679 to Robert Hignett and John Crew. Richard and Annabella Bracy make their marks. Witn: William Stevens and John Welbore.
Have you ever researched the Crew line? There is LOTS of info on them on line. But I cant find a son for him so far. Also I think that in 1759 there may have been a lawsuit over the above property and I have tried to find it for years but with out success. I wanted to find it because I thought I might learn more about John Crews daughter Elizabeth Crew Walls, and who her children were.
Anyway I am SOOO glad to hear from you, you have a LOT the names in your family that I am researching. Linda
