My grandfather was James J Meehan, born in 1886 in NYC.He worked as a driver for a piano manufacturer.He died sometime between 1930 and 1940 I believe, and am trying to find where he is buried.
His grandparents were Ellen Tynan and James Meehan, both born in Ireland. They came to NYC prior to 1870.
Ellen and James had at least 5 children - Catherine, Elizabeth, Thomas, William and James all born in NY. One of the boys is my grandfather's father(MY MISSING GENERATION) but have no idea which one. Catherine married a Louis Hettler, and Elizabeth was apparently married twice, first to someone named Clark, and then to a William Sullivan who was a blacksmith.If you think you might have a lead, or any information about James J Meehan's father and mother I'd appreciate it. Thanks so much.
