Dear Mark, I am Eugene Tynan, formally of Yonkers, NY and and retired from IBM. I worked in optics and Laser technolgy and often received mail meant for Richard Tynan, who also worked for IBM in Optics and came from upstate NY. He and I often spoke of our family genealogy and for a breif time lived in the same town of Mahopac NY. We exchanged family trees but found no link. He had a relative in Ireland, who was a nun, that often sent him information on their family genealogy. I reviewed your information and that of the Tynan's of Summerville, Ireland (Richard's Tree) and noted many similarities. Many years after Richard died a Tynan (I beleive in the Carolinas) was inquiring about my Tynan tree only to discover he was the son of Richard Tynan. He was just starting out researching and was unaware of the research his dad had gathered. I sent him a copy of the family tree so he would have it in time for a family gathering. If you would like a copy you can contact me at email@example.com or 623-972-0849 (El Mirage, AZ). Good luch, Best Regards, Gene Tynan
