An Old Paper.
Mrs. George Sill, has kindly loaned us a number of old papers, among which we find a copy of the Elgin Gazette of April 30, 1862, which is replete with items of interest concerning the war, and which alludes to many other topics of interest. From it we call the following article:

Dr L.S. Tyler who was sent to the 52nd Regiment by Col. Yates, after the battle at Pittsburgh Landing, has returned sick. Half of the men who go under such circumstances, get sick. The change is too great, and the shock on the system brings on sickness.
