Quoting my Mother: "The Tyers, Masters, Rices, Grounds, and Shavers were all related in NC before migrating to Texas." The Grounds (Peter Grunt(s), Grundt, Grount(s)family "crossed the Mississippi River on New Years Day, 1800, going from NC to MO.Masters, Rices, and Grounds were in Texas before it became a State (1845). Groundsdropping through AR (which was upper LA). Tyers in 1850's. Some NC Tyers went through TN Hendrson Co. and another Co.(?)prior to 1834) to MO, some dropped down to TX through TN, MS. LA. I need help on Wilsons intermarriages to Tyers. Need help on MO Grounds. Can't get anc. of Alex(ander) Shaver back of early Texas.
Is this a clue for you? Keep in mind that the Lambeths-Loftins-Tyers intermarried-and the families moved to TN,MO, and to MS, TX-
