My Tyer family arrived in Houston Co TX in the 1850s. Father Thomas Lewis TYER died 1856 just prior to the migration from MS.
Widow Elizabeth T WILSON TYER came by oz-pulled wagon with a family group and her children:
Charles N b ca 1840, m Nancy C. unknown
John Thomas b 1844, m Mary M MARSH
Julia Ann b 1846, m Alexander SHAVER
James Napoleon b 1849, m Belle GROUNDS [my line]
George Lewis b 1852, m Adeline BENSON #2Louisiana CUTLER
Many stayed in Houston Co; some moved to Shelby Co among other Eastern Texas counties.
Would like to share information and/or make contact with descendants of this family.
