My grandfather William Samuel Tyer was born in E.St. Louis, MO in 1865. He was orphaned there at an early age and later settled in Grimes County, TX. His father was a TYER and his mother was a RUMMAGE, possibly of Arkansas. Please contact me if this fits with your family tree.
