Hi Paul,
Would you be kin to the African-American Cordy Tyre (born 1880-ish) who in 1920 Philadelphia County was a hotel cook & still single?
He and 4 brothers immigrated to Pennsylvania from 1900 to 1920, settling in Delaware County & Chester County. They are 5 of 12 siblings from Sussex County, Delaware looking for non-agricultural work.
I tracked them to PA through the Fed. Census. I have plenty about his ancestors if you need it.
