I have information that tracks my earliest ancestor to being born in 1771(roughly). His name was James Tyer or Tyre and he lived in Pitt Co., North Carolina. I'm not able to find any records that tell me he was born here. He married a woman named either Patsey or Martha. Records I have show her being called both. I have hit a wall as far as being able to find out any information before James Tyer. I would really like to know what my family heritage is. If anyone has any connection to my family or any information to share I would greatly appreciate it.
James Tyer's children- Norfleet, Theaduss
James Tyer's grandfather was George Moye(I'm assuming this was his mother's father)
