Sharon - so sorry to hear of your son's medical problems -- our prayers for him and your family. I use the net for leads, tips, etc -- but try to get additional confirmation on all my information. I think there is way too much conjecture on internet. I like census and courthouse records. Library info, and Archives -- have not been to DC but use GA Archives. Family records, bibles, etc can be good -- nothing wrong with using someone else's research, if they really do have facts. In fact met LJ Tyre last year for a research trip to So GA courthouses and cemeteries. At some point though, you may just have to make assumptions or go with theory. My mother was a Tyre and I've spent a lot of time on her family. I've corresponded with Ed Tyer in the past and if you do a search on this or other boards you should be able to find his email address. I think he may have an Insurance Agency in Texas. After your family health issues settle down some I would like to get in touch with you about your family records from 1700's and early 1800's. I think LJ told you we have hit a stone wall on early records. Good Luck on your research. Jim
