Tye - Tighe DNA Project at Family Tree DNA

Hello everyone,
If you really want to know something about your earliest roots you should consider joining the Tye / Tighe DNA project at Family Tree DNA. This project looks at Y-DNA which is passed only from father to son. Women do not carry or pass it. Since Y-DNA is passed through male lines it is useful for surname studies. I am not a Tighe or Tye but a cousin of mine who is joined the project. Thus far four men have joined. As more Tighes Tyes join the project more matches will occur. The Tighe Tye project could help us connect and take us beyond the paper trail. Through the MacNeil project I have found cousins in Ireland, the USA, Scotland, Canada and Australia. Y-DNA can tell us which Tighe families share a common male ancestor.
