Colin, Many thanks for your reply. Being a novice in this Family tree 'stuff'is fasinating and sure gets you hooked for more info. Have asked questions of the family and now find out that Charles's father was Clarke and his mother was Harriett. I believe that Charles was born in Aug 1871 and married maud searle in 1878. No nothing yet on Harriett but Charles was one of 9 children. Very vague still at the moment, but how do i get to see your census and how can we email without going through this web site. not sure if you have me listed in your research but can let you have my family tree details.
