INDIAN RESERVATION-YOUNG COUNTY-1850'S
Posted by: Betty Wienken Date: September 16, 1999 at 21:15:41

Am seeking info on Indian Reservation supposedly located at Fort Belknap. I understand it was only there a few years and was moved to Anadarko, Oklahoma. My great grandfather, Walter Howard Mahoney, served as Indian Agent for a time, but don't know if he moved to Oklahoma when the reservation did. Also, since several tribes are represented at Anadarko, which was the one located in Young County?

Any info appreciated.
