You can view and even make copies of TX death certificates up to 1976 on the Family Search site (LDS). This will take you directly to that portion of FS. Just copy and paste.
Now, there are various ways to use this, you can even look for people with same parents. Click on parents and just enter father's surname and mother's surname. Some times one has to play around with combinations if the given names are they may be just entered as initials, or they used nickname for one or both, so I start with just the surnames. Sometimes you'll find the death of a very young child no one in the family has ever talked about.
The site will require you to "register" if you want to view original documents. No fee, no strings attached, LDS have to be careful who uses some of this site. The first password I tried they rejected, I think it was because they wanted a number as part of the password. Now I'm in like Flynn. LOL

You can view her headstone on Find a Grave site, I think the headstone in the same cemetery for John Wilson who died in 1923 is probably her husband. On the 1920 census for Upshur Co, TX, John Wilson, wife Emma and some of their children are listed together.
I found Dan Goss on the census for Hill Co, TX. I do not have a subscription to Ancestry.com, but can use Heritage Quest for census searches. I have a library card for a local public library that subscribes to HQ, only libraries can subscribe to HQ. Check and see if a library near you subscribes, then you can use it at home.
I've tried finding John or Lucille on census records, but no luck. Their name may have been misspelled. Kate's DC said she was born in Wood Co, TX, and she's buried in Upshur Co, they are neighboring counties, I'd concentrate searches in those two counties.
Happy Hunting (^_^)
