Mozley/Mosley/Mozeley/Mosely/etc in Winnsboro, Wood Co., TX

I have family oral info that a cousin died in Winnsboro, Wood Co., TX. I place his death between 1926 and 1929, but am not sure of this. His name was Charles or Charley Mozley, but Mozley may have been spelled Mosley/Moseley/Mosely/Mozley/Mozeley/Mozely. He was born in about 1874 in GA to Miles "Pike" Mozley and Mary Ann Smith. He may have worked for the Railroad, but that is just guessing on my part. I have not found him in the censuses or 1900, 1910, 1920, nor 1930, so I am not really sure that he went by Charles or Charlie.

I base my belief that he died between 1926 and 1929 on the will left by his uncle Zachariah Taylor Mozley who died in Birmingham, AL in 1931. Charles is listed in the condicils of 1926 and 1929, but not in the probation of the will in 1932-1936.

I believe that he may have been the father of Charlene Wesley Mozley who married Robert Wilber Becker and had daughter Montie Laverne Becker in Ector Co., TX in 1931. Charlene was born in Odessa, Ellis Co., TX in 1904 and her mother's name in Charlene's obit in 1934 was Mattie Sevier. Montie Laverne Becker is listed in the probation of the will in 1936, so I know that she is a desc. of one of Uncle Zack's siblings. Charlene Wesley Mozley is listed as her mother in the Texas Birth Index.

Is ther anyone out there who can help me find Charlie and his wife??

Also one of his sisters also died in Winnsboro, Wood Co., TX. Her name was Lillie Estelle Mozley Harris, wife of William Bethel Harris. They went to Grayson Co., TX in the early 1900s and are found on the 1910 census there. Lillie is said to be buried in Grayson CVo., TX. I don't know why Lillie was in Winnsboro, TX at the time of her death, but she died in 1915. She had a son born about the same year that she died. I don't know of any other family that lived in Wood Co.

Thank you

Mona Herrin
