Hi Robyn,

Thank you for replying to my query.

I'm aware of Wm. Cain Rushing's son , Solomon J. (b1843, AL) having lived in Wood Co., but can find no connection to them or the Rushings who came from SC, whatsoever.

My Rushings moved to Van Zandt, TX (later Wood Co.,) circa 1847/8, from Tishomingo, MS (later to become Alcorn Co.), where they had moved to in 1836 from Stewart Co., TN. There seems to be connections to the Jason Rushing who married Alice Gulledge, but here I come to a BIG brick wall.
